Little unknown fact about HTL is that they're apart of Taco Bell's Feed The Beat program, to learn more about that click the link below :). (Other bands with the program are Thousand Foot Krutch and Fireflight.)

I know this community has pretty much been left for dead,
and this is sort of a longshot, but does anyone happen to have a download
of HTL on the AP Show? I'd really, really, REALLY appreciate it.
Thanks. (:

Journal Update from Nick [Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

New Day, New Post
HOLY SHIT WHERE HAVE WE BEEN?! Everywhere my friends, EVERYWHERE. Since I last posted we've finished the Spring Break '08 tour with The Audition, Every Avenue, The Morning Light, and Kiros. Good times, good dudes, a month and a half went fast. I think we're starting to get the hang of the new line up if I do say so myself. We've had some incredible fucking shows, and it's all thanks to the kids that have been going OFF for us. That shit is so heartfelt, you guys don't even know. I don't even get tired on stage anymore, they get me so fucking pumped. To the crowd at Poughkeepsie and Bamboozle: I've never felt more proud to be in this band. It's crazy to think that in a year so much has changed for this band, everything except for you guys. I don't know how many other bands could say that they were gone for a year, came back with a new line up and had the privilege of playing to even more kids than before. Seriously, some of the best days of my life so far, thank you. We're currently on a short headlining run with our boys in Every Avenue, Farewell and Sing It Loud called the "Liver let die tour". This tour will NOT be long enough, and I can already tell that all the bands are our kind of dudes... GAY. Since we went from the studio straight on the road we haven't had any time or breaks to learn more than the 9 to 10 songs we set off with so we've been practicing a new tune some of you might know called "Drop the Girl". Hopefully we can bust it out soon, we just don't want to butcher it before "most" people(singling out the dirty cyber pirates) have heard it. The new record has just gotten done being mastered, shit sounds epic, hope you've got diapers cuz' it's gonna blow your ass out. I can't wait to at least put up a new song for peeps and show them what's up. You're gonna forget about the old record, but no worries, we'll still play all the songs you want, we won't be "that band". It'd be sweet to show you dudes and dudets something now, but that probably can't happen. right? Recent news: We spent a day recording a new cover song with good ol' Mr. Freeman in Boonton NJ yesterday, it's sweet and ultra gay, we love it. I think it will be released with an I-tunes package. Coming up: a few more shows with our Liver boys and it's off to Cali with Set Your Goals and I Am the Avalanche for a few shows before we shoot our new music video in San Fran. Wait for word on that and keep your eyes peeled for some new webisodes in the near future, shit's been hectic, I'm working on it. Until then, check out our dates, hit us up and get stoked.

loves,

Nick

p.s. Wilmington DE, we've got your fucking back!

Guys update about singer situation & UK tour. [Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

Taken from their myspace bulletin...

Hey guys what's up? It's time for an HTL update so we can fill you in on what we've been up to and what you can expect from the band as fall rolls in. First order of business; the U.K. headlining tour. We really wanted this tour to happen for a multitude of reasons. One being that you kids in the U.K. know how to BRING IT!!!...and two, we would get to bring some great bands and great friends over (a.k.a. Just Surrender and Valencia). Everyone has heard about Colin parting ways with the band and when asked earlier about the headlining tour we were relatively sure that we would be able to get an adequate fill, a great replacement, or perhaps even Colin himself. As the months have past we've run through the possibilities of all of the above and have finally come to the conclusion that the U.K. tour will not be happening in October as planned.

YOU: "WHHHHAAAAATTT????!!!! LIARS!!!! LOSERS!!!! CUUUUNTS!!!! OHIO...IANS!!!!!!"

US: "Woah now, hang on a minute!"

Before everyone dives at their computer screen trying to somehow get your fingers around our red little necks, just hear us out. Our first and foremost thought was to get Colin to do the tour. We thought it would be a great way to go out and you kids deserve it, believe us. We figured he might be willing to do it because the tour was actually booked when he was still in the band. Colin isn't going to be able to do it so we were bummed on that. As far as a replacement goes we are still on the search for a new band member and, though we may have some good prospects, it just wouldn't be fun for you kids to have a stranger up there kareokeeing our songs and not having a chance to prove himself with our new material. Last but not least, we thought about the "temporary" fill in. When we first discussed it, we didn't really think the idea through. Now, faced with the dilemma, we think it would be a cheap way out and definitely not as fun as coming back with a real band.

US: "Are we right?"

YOU: "Yes Hit The Lights (though I'd really enjoy seeing you live, and I have looked forward to those shows since last time you were here), you ARE right, and doing a tour just to make some cold, hard, british cash WOULD be a travesty to everything that you stand for. "

US: "Wow! You're so understanding! It's like...you REALLY get us."

We're bummed, we really are. It probably would have been one of the most fun tours to date, but we WILL be back. The singer situation is not something that we are taking lightly, and I hope all of you understand that we want to keep the fans we have, and the only way we can do that is make sure that this is something that we believe in, even before the fans. If we don't back what we do, and don't take this band seriously, then why should you? With this being said we hope you all can see where we're coming from and understand that this is the best decision for the fans AND the band. We're going to find a new front man, record some sick jams, and skip over to the motherland for snake bites and ass shak'in!

US: "So are we cool?"

YOU: "Yeah Dawg, we coo."
